This plugin for Rpg Maker MV allows events to play sounds when the player is inside a range from them.

Event comment
<Proximity sound: range interval volume pitch sounds times(opt) diminish(opt)>
Example: <Proximity sound: 7 60-120 70 100 Bell1,Bell2,Bell3>
The event will play a random sound selected from the list (Bell1,Bell2,Bell3) every 60 to 120 frames (random) when in range of 7 tiles or less from the player.
If using special parameters for directional panning and volume adjustment, the sounds will change depending on the distance and position of the player.

Tested and made for Rpg Maker MV 1.6.3; this plugin may not work in older versions.
